Who We Are
Get ready for a whirlwind of excitement as the Glyncoed Entertainment Events Committee, known as the GEEC Squad, brings fun and festivities to Blaenau Gwent! We are your community's dedicated events team, conjuring up spectacular events and celebrations that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.
From frequent Afternoon Tea Parties with bingo and live entertainment for our senior residents, Musical Bingo nights, Quiz Bingo nights, Prosecco and Pizza, Burger and a Pint, 80s and 90s Fancy Dress Discos, Valentine's Family Disco Fever, Easter celebrations, Halloween Frights Parties with our famous Jump 'N' Scare Walks, Christmas parties, and the grand Christmas Santa Sleigh Parade — right through to our jewel in the crown, the annual GFEST festival.
We are not just here to make you laugh and dance. We are on a mission to keep your wallets happy too. To keep ticket costs at a minimum, we work hard to organise, fundraise, and secure grants. And here is the cherry on top — entrance to the Festival is always free for Blaenau Gwent under 12s!

After the incredible success of GFEST24 and GFEST25, we are gearing up for our third outing — and it is going to be bigger and better than ever! Welcome to GFEST26, hosted at Ebbw Vale Steelmen RFC in partnership with GEEC Squad CIC.
